Facebook Messenger
Set up
To set up your assistant integration in Facebook Messenger, you'll need the following:
A Facebook account registered in the developer console.
A Facebook page connected to Meta Business.
Create a Meta App
Access the Facebook developer console.
Generate a Permanent Access Token
Go to Messenger > Setting up the Messenger API.
Select the Facebook page you want to connect to the assistant.
Obtain the Facebook Page ID
Go to Messenger > Setting up the Messenger API.
Obtain the application secret key
Navigate to Facebook developers console.
Access to the created application.
Go the Settings > Basic Information menu section.
Connect your app with your assistant
Activate integration in 1millionbot platform
Go to the Channels section on the platform.
Activate Facebook and click on 'Settings'.
Enter the previously obtained data: Application Secret Key, Permanent Access Token and Faceboook Page ID
Activate integration in Meta
Obtain the Callback URL
Configure the Meta Webhook
Paste the previously obtained callback URL and Permanent Access Token.
Click on 'Save'.
Set permissions
In the previous section, click on 'Administrate'.
Publish Meta app
Now, your application is in development mode, so you can test the assistant's operation as long as you are the owner or have access to the Facebook account connected to the assistant.
Done! Once published, perform tests to verify the operation of your assistant on the provided Facebook account. 🎉
Limitations
A maximum of (200 * Number of Fanpage Likes) messages per day can be sent per bot.
Buttons must have a maximum of 20 characters.
Maximum of 3 buttons per message.
